I'm gonna use substitution property to solve it
So we know that we wanna solve 5x + 2y = 7 for x
5x = = 7 - 2y
x = (7 - 2y)/5
x= -2/5 y + 7/5
Now substitute -2/5 y + 7/5 for x in 10x+4y=14
10x + 4y = 14
10(-2/5 y + 7/5) + 4y= 14
Use the distributive property
10(-2/5 y) + (10)(7/5) + 4y = 14
-20/5 y + 70/5 + 4y = 14
-4y + 14 + 4y = 14
Combine like terms
-4y + 4y + 14 = 14
14 = 14
Add -14 to both sides
14 - 14 = 14 - 14
0 = 0
Answer : Infinitely many solutions
