Prompt:
Last week, you learned about the Electoral College and how we elect the President of the
United States. Many people do not agree with this system, and would like to see it abolished
because it does not allow people to have an equal vote in the Election. But others want to
keep it because they say it protects small states' voices in the election. Would you keep or
get rid of the Electoral College? Why or Why not? Please explain your reasoning in a

Answer :

I would keep it, because Electoral college not only give small states a voice it also keeps a balance. A lot of people like to vote for what they friend vote for, but not for the better of themselves, so that’s where the electoral voters come in and choose what is best for the state overall. Also if we didn’t have electoral votes then the Candidates would only have to go to big states like Texas and New York to win, but because we have the electoral college everyone is included instead of excluded.
