PLS FAST WILL GIVE BRAINLIEST!!!! Conduct some research to discover other scientists that contributed to the development of the periodic table. Then, answer the prompt below.

Is it fair that some scientists have received more credit than others for their work on the development of the periodic table? Why or why not? Be sure to explain your reasoning, and list examples from your research.

Answer :

Answer:

Scientists that have contributed to the development of Periodic Table:

1. Dmitri Mendeleev-created the framework that became the modern periodic table, leaving gaps for elements that were yet to be discovered. While arranging the elements according to their atomic weight, if he found that they did not fit into the group he would rearrange them

2. John Newlands- British chemist John Newlands presented a classification of the 62 known elements. Newlands noticed recurring trends in physical properties of the elements

3. Henry Moseley- labeled the elements with atomic numbers based upon the number of electrons.

4. Ernest Rutherford- discovered protons in the nucleus.

5. Lothar Meyer-Lothar Meyer's table appears to be more consistent and more accurate than Mendeleev's including the correct placement of mercury with cadmium, tin with lead and others.

6. Johann Wolfgang Döbereiner -began to formulate one of the earliest attempts to classify the elements.

7. Alexandre Emile Beguyer de Chancourtois.- The first periodic table was created by de Chancourtois. He assembled the table by. classifying chemical elements in an order based on their information.

8.Antoine Lavoisier -Wrote the first extensive list of elements containing 33 elements. Distinguished between metals and non-metals.

9. William Ramsay -discovered the noble gases and realised that they represented a new group in the periodic table

10. Glenn Seaborg.- identified lanthanides and actinides which are elements with atomic numbers higher than 92 and are placed in a separate section

Yes the scientists that have the most contribution deserves greater reward. For example , Mendeleev has great contribution so they named him the one who creates the periodic table without knowing other scientist contribution.

The contributions of outstanding scientists such a s Mendeleeve deserve very special mention but it does not invalidate the ideas of other sceintists.

The periodic table

Quite a great number of scientists such as Newlands, Moseley, Meyer and  Beguyer de Chancourtois all contributed in outstanding ways to the development of our current ideas about the periodic table.

However, worthy of special mention is the Russian scientist Dmitri Mendeleev who first attempted a complete systematic arrangement of the elements and even predicted the discovery of more elements in the future.

Therefore, I believe that some scientists deserve more outstanding accolade than others.
