B. Avoid speaking directly to the writer of the poem—speak to the group instead.
C. Start the discussion by saying what works or what you like about the poem.
D. Speak your comments slowly so that the poem’s writer has time to take notes.
I believe C would be the best option since it is after all constructive criticism but starting off with some praise will let the authors defense down and let them feel more comfortable with you
