The inclusion of women as subjects transforms the nature of knowledge and the means of prodding knowledge by allowing for people to acknowledge the exclusive nature of "his"tory. Different perspectives examine how traditional knowledge only provides the male privilege and power side of historical events, thereby marginalizing how women fit into these accounts. By including women as subjects in this study, events that were previously unquestioned are now being reexamined to consider women and other perspectives of minority groups (2-3).
