The measure of an angle is 8 degrees less than three times the measure another angle. If the two angles are supplementary, what is the measure of the larger angle?

Answer :

small angle - x
large angle - 3x-8
supplementary = sum of this angles = 180
x+3x-8=180
4x-8=180
4x=188
x=47
large angle  3x-8=3*47-8= 133°
check: 133+47=180
